HISTORY
Welcome to the beautiful Town at Trilith! Nestled on the south side of Atlanta, this illydic town was once the 900 acre Rivers family farm. Locals fondly remember the annual Fayette Elementary 4th grade field trip to the Rivers cattle farm. A couple original structures still stand, like the white farm house & red barn, as an ode to the family who tended this land faithfully before it was a walkable, new urbanism development. As the vision for a new neighborhood began to emerge, many friends & neighbors prayer-walked these acres and asked that the hand of God be on the establishment of this work.
Drive into Trilith, and you will see many roads named after J Arthur Rank, the cofounder of Pinewood Film Studios, and Heatherden Hall in Iver Heath, England, the location of Pinewood Film Studios where it originated in Great Britain in 1935. After a joint venture between River Rock LLC & Pinewood to bring Pinewood Atlanta to the U.S. in 2013, Pinewood sold its shares and the studios and neighborhood were renamed Trilith in 2020. A trilith is defined as a structure consisting of two upright stones with a third placed across the top, such as those of Stonehenge. The Town at Trilith is a purpose-built doorway into creativity & technology.
Construction of the first home began in 2018. Phase 1 saw the creation of unique homes of all sizes and resort-quality amenities to share. That same year saw the birth of The Forest School, a PreK-12 private school in the community pioneering self-directed learning. In July of 2020, the first restaurant, Hop City Craft Beer & Wine and Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar opened. Since then many businesses have followed and Phase 2 of residential housing has begun. Trilith development and builders have been awarded numerous awards including 2021 Mixed Use Development Of The Year & 2020 Master Planned Community Of The Year!
